What To Expect W h a t   T o   E x p e c t

Every client’s skin, treatment history and goals are different. That’s why treatment at The Yvette Clinic begins with a consultation, so Kirsty can assess your skin, understand what you would like to achieve and tailor her advice to you.

The information below gives a general guide to what you can expect, including treatment time, likely results and any downtime.

Treatment Time

Treatment time depends on the size, location and complexity of the tattoo being treated.

Small tattoos may be treated relatively quickly, while larger or more detailed tattoos naturally require longer. Kirsty will confirm the expected appointment time and treatment plan during consultation.

All first-time laser clients require a patch test before treatment can proceed.

Results

Laser Tattoo Removal is a gradual, course-led treatment.

Some fading may be visible after early sessions, but meaningful results usually take time and repeated treatment. The number of sessions needed depends on the tattoo’s size, colour, depth, density, age and how your body responds.

Complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Some tattoos respond very well, while others may only fade partially. Kirsty will give you honest advice about what may be realistic after assessing the tattoo.

Downtime

Some temporary redness, swelling, warmth, tenderness, whitening, blistering, scabbing or darkening of the treated area can occur after treatment.

The area will need time to heal between sessions. It is important not to pick, scratch or disturb the skin while it is recovering.

Kirsty will explain what to expect for your skin and advise how best to plan your appointments around holidays, sun exposure, exercise and important events.
